Harper is Going to Make Another Mistake Soon

Ok, so let me get this Harper is planning on getting rid of the ethics commissioner who has been employed by the house since 2002, not that I am say the current ethics commissioner is a great guy, I think it would be a big mistake if Harper drops the commissioner just like that.

Harper is actually being investigated by the ethics commissioner, he is investigating the Emerson case and so Harper plans to get rid of the ethics commissioner to make sure he does not get caught in any wrong doing.

Well is this really the guy that was on the campaign trail about a month ago talking about much accountability he is going to bring to the government, well it seems to me that this guy is really not going to hold anything he said less than two months ago to the line.

So I think that Harper is really making an admission of his guilt when it comes to the Emerson case and he is just going to make another mistake, so let me just put it this way Mr. Harper don't fire the ethics guy when he is in the middle of an investigation that might find you guilty that just shows how weak your leadership of the Canadian people is.

But I just want to close and say why are talking to former politicians like Ed Broadbent about the job, its fine that you want to appoint someone who is going to make a better ethics commissioner but really I have high respect of Ed but you need to find someone who is not a former politician better you need to find someone who has never worked in Ottawa was that not what you campaigned on

Shame on Mr. Harper the mistakes just keep on coming, I don't understand why you don't relax for a bit and think about all of the mistakes you have made in the last few weeks you might find a trend that’s going to get you out of power shortly.

NDP's Are Useless

I have come to a conclusion about the NDP, when I was asked what do you really think the NDP does or what you think the NDP adds to the political spectrum in Canada? I answered well the NDP is a left wing party that helps people who are on the left of the political spectrum bring ideas to the table, just like the Green party brings environmental issues to the table.

Well I would have given that answer about a month ago, but in the past little while I have come to the conclusion that the NDP should not exist, the party takes votes away from the Liberal Party they talk about how they can make government better in Canada with ideas of PR and other reform, but when thinking about the reason for why the NDP people speak this way its so they can have more power.

But really what good is a party when they can't form government. What good is a party when they can't even bring the balance of power in a minority government? Well the party that I am talking about is useless and frankly they should not exist. The NDP should realize that they can't make a change in the politics of Canada, they should realize that the Green Party is a better third party that the NDP and we should elect more Green members than NDP members that would make our politics in Canada better.

Liberals Are Talking to Each Other Again

Last night the Lakehead University Young Liberals had a great dinner in Thunder Bay. Even members of other parties were in attendance. But last night was a great night for the Liberal Party since we lost the last election we have not been talking about much, we have been in a state of shock, but it seems to me that Liberals are now talking again Liberals are doing what they have to do rebuild a party that can come back to full glory.

I also want to thank few people who made the discussion possible last night, first I would like to thank Bev Hodgson who came all the way from Niagara Falls to be with Young Liberals. Bev was great she opened the discussion with Young Liberals who were eager to bring the party back to power.

I would like to also thank few more people, James Bowie who was great. James organized the event last night and he did a great job bringing people from all walks of life together to talk about the future of the Liberal Party. I would like to also thank Ken Boshcoff our MP from Thunder Bay Superior North, also Bill Mauro MPP from Thunder Bay, Joe Virdiramo.

Also I would like to thank everyone who made it to the dinner last night it was great.

The New Justice Minister is a two faced lier

That’s true the new Justice minister Vic Toews frequently accused the Liberal government of being unfocused on crime issues, and he also accused the Liberal Party of supporting the so called "Liberal Courts" and "Liberal Judges".

I find this sad because when Toews was justice minister in the province of Manitoba, he allowed cases and serious convicted felons to serve sentences in the community. This shows the hippocras of the Conservative Party and its new minister, because this same minister allowed the budget of the department of Justice in Manitoba to be slashed to the point that the crown was not able to argue cases properly.

So if I understand correctly that Toews is a real hard ass on crime when he is in opposition but when he take office anything goes. Canada welcome your new Conservative Justice Minister, a man of two faces.

You can read more about this minister @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vic_Toews

David Emerson is a Conservative

Well the new cabinet under Harper is now public, but what really shocked me was the defection of David Emerson. The former Liberal Minister is now a Conservative and is going to be working with the right wing nut jobs who will be leading this country.

But what I want to really say is that as Liberals we should not attack Emerson the way the Conservatives attacked Belinda when she became a Liberal. As Liberals we should wish Mr. Emerson well in his new job, but we should also realize that he was not a true Liberal, and that shows at the fact that he sold his party, he sold his morals and he sold everything that he holds true in order to sit around the Cabinet table and I find that shocking. That’s why the Liberal Party does not need someone like Emerson.

Liberal Party in "Deep Shit" I DON'T THINK SO

With all the talk about who is not going to run for the leadership of the Liberal Party, the media, Conservatives, and people from all over Canada, are talk about who is not going to run. They are also talk about how the Party is going to lose the next election if no one agrees to run for the top job.

I do agree at the fact that some good people have decided not to take a stab at the top job, but I am not sure why the media and people are talking about people who are not going to run, rather than talk about people who might run. The Liberal Party has great people who I am sure can make great leaders, people the media and people around Canada are not talking about.

So I don't think that the Liberal Party is in trouble because of few people who decided not to run. This is just politics some people will run and some will never run again what we should be doing as Liberals is to talk about the way to rebuild and the way we can gain the confidence of the Canadian people back so we can win the next election, make sure that we do the job.

And to Mike Duffy you should not be on TV, you have no idea how dumb you sound sometimes.

Harper is going to get fired

Well, tories have got it all wrong, they talk about Harper and how he won the election, but lets put it this way he won with the weakest government in Canadian History. I am sure the ultra right Conservative Harper is not gone its still in him, and if you tell me that its not well take a look at any MP who is from Alberta and you can see what I mean. They are right wing Conservatives who have nothing to lose because they know that no one will ever ask them to join the cabinet I can give you an example: remeber Rob Anders a member of the house who thinks that Nelson Mandela is a terrorist, I heard the man speak at Lakehead University I don't think he is able to just sit and say nothing offensive to people around the country.

As for Harper I think the party will fire him as soon as the next Liberal Leader is found he is not going to last more few months. When the Liberal Party will have a strong leader the Conservatives will realize that well with Harper as leader they will not be able to win the next election so they will fire him before he creats a Joe Clark type of thing. But I think that Harper is really on thin ice.

So as a Liberal I am hoping that Harper remains as Leader just so we can kick his ass in the next election and we will start to the fake smile on his face fade. So for all of those who think Harper is a changed man and for all of those who think the CPC is not a copy of the Reform Party of the 90s you will change your minds in no time. Canada welcome your new PM Harper the right win nut job.

Should we really be talking about McKenna!!!!!!!!

I have a bad feeling about the discussion revolving around McKenna. He seems to be a man of integrity and knowledge. But I am not sure if he would be able to get the job done. The way people are reacting to him seems to be just like the way people reacted to Paul Martin.

McKenna is a smart man with a lot of great stuff that he is done in his political life, but the thing is the Liberal Party is weak and we need a leader that can bring everyone on side and for some reason I don't think that McKenna can bring the people of Quebec on side. I don't think he would be able to appeal to all the people in Quebec they tend to be on the left of the Liberal Party and McKenna is just too far on the right I am not sure what he wants to do on BMD but from his comments almost a year ago I think he is a supporter and thats not something that would be appealing to Quebec.

McKenna is also not the leader that can bring the west to side of the Liberal Party, although I don't expect the Liberal Party to win the west I expect a leader to be able to win some seats in the West and I don't think that McKenna can appeal to the Western voter because well he is from the East.

So to those people who think that McKenna can help the Liberal Party come back to power please let me know why I need to support a good Candidate and I am not sure who to support.

Will Ken Dryden go for Leader

When Martin announced that he is going to go, that the he gave a great speech and he acctually conected to many people at the point which well was a bit too late, but in any case I would like to say that Martin was a good leader who acctually lead the Liberal Party through one of the most difficult times in its history. So I would like to thank him for doing so.

I think that the Liberal Party willto choose a leader who is going to be able to reach out to both East and West, to English and French. The task is not going to be easy and we will see many people seek the Leadership of the party, but no one has talked about Ken Dryden and the fact that he might be interested in the top job. Many people made pridictions of who the next Liberal leader might be but no one thought about Dryden who acctually might run for leadership if he is going to be given the signal. So I think that Dryden might run for leadership.

In any case this is the list of possible cadidates for the Liberal Leadership.

1.
Frank McKenna
2. Belinda Stronach
3. Scott Brison
4. Mike Ignatieff
5. John Manley
6. Ujjal Dosanjh
7. Stephane Dion
8. Ken Dryden
